Maura Passanisi
Maura is an emerging leader and tastemaker in the San Francisco Bay Area wine industry. Her mission to create visibility, resources, and opportunities for women winemakers and entrepreneurs is evident in several of her current projects. She is the co-founder and visionary of the Della Donna Women Winemakers Festival.
Maura holds a B.S. from the UC Davis, where she studied design. She has worked in wine bars and retail shops around the SF Bay Area, and gotten sticky and stained at harvest. She is a CSW, WSET Advanced, and works at the acclaimed San Francisco wine bar High Treason. Maura is working on opening her first wine bar in Alameda.

Nicole Ruiz Hudson is a food and drink writer and educator living in Oakland, California. A culinary school graduate and lover of all things wine, she has a particular passion for wine pairing. She holds a WSET Diploma and is a certified sommelier. She spent three years in the tasting department at Wine Spectator and regularly contributes to the “8 & 20” recipe and pairing series on WineSpectator.com. Most recently Nicole was one of four organizers of Bâtonnage, a day long forum to stir up the conversation on women in wine that took place in Napa Valley.
